Back in May 2013, !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! , I spotted this 2CV.
Fast forward to May 2020, and here, what I think, is the same car this time in Savannah.
Looks like the Fulton county tags got swapped for some Chatham county ones.

I have seen two Citroens in the US. A yellow and black 2CV and a custom brake 2CV. Such cool cars in person. The brake was at a show and the owner let me sit in it. Surprisingly comfortable and so charming.
Those Euro plates are a popular mod.

I’ve got a vague memory like I saw a red on white 2CV in Fulton years ago. Getting driven a lot for a long time, one would conclude.

Probably the fame one.

It looks like the euro plates are the same number, given that and the location of the plate I’d hazard a guess that this is the same car.

It’s a fair guess, especially since the plate is newer than the one you saw before. Not many around, much less in the exact same color scheme with the same color of fabric sunroof. and off center license plate mount. I suspect most of the Euro plates are real, especially on imported cars, so it pretty much confirms it too.

It is odd to use German plates as an optical mod on a French car though. Why not use French plates instead?
Well, your yellow/black one does seem to have French plates. The red/white above has German plates.

Very cool. I spotted an old Citroen, maybe an Ami recently with LEBLEU on the numberplate since it was blue.
Turns out I posted it here a year or two ago. It actually lives near me so it makes sense. I had forgotten but I got that deja vu y’know?

I’ve seen a lot of 2CVs (on the internet) but that has to be the nicest paint scheme I’ve seen on one. Red and white looks just right on a quirky car such as this. Reminds me a bit of a clown car, but doesn’t change the fact that I think it’s a lovely, oddball piece of kit.
